There need to be helmets readily available for people to use at free skates at Matthews. I had to get transported to the hospital yesterday, which would not have happened had I been wearing a helmet. They have a lot of helmets for broomball, so why not let us use them for free skate? I feel uncomfortable going back to free skate without a helmet.
Would there be any interest in a rock climbing wall or boldering cave on campus? Not only is it a great venue for exercise but going to a rock climbing facility in/near Boston tends to be expensive and time consuming so this addition to campus would be beneficial to many. It's just a manner of getting enough interest to go forward with this.
I don't know if SGA has any authority to change this, but the overnight parking situation for students who live around the Gainsborough area is less than ideal. If you don't get back from your co-op job before 6 PM North Lot is usually full and you have to wait upwards of 30 minutes for a spot. According to the neu parking website, Gainsborough Garage is technically not open for overnight permit holders, even though ...more »
There isn't enough room for all the students to cross the Green line tracks at Huntington Ave and Opera Place and Forsyth. Widen the pathway so students don't have to walk through the rocks and weeds, tripping over rail ties!
incorporate this site into MyNEU. I'd feel more empowered to submit my input if there were more than 81 registered users. Also- it's clearly not representative of an undergraduate body of 15,000.
The 3 swipe maximum at Outtakes for students on co-op with mealplans is very inconvenient; many students cannot find time to go to Outtakes multiple times a week due to spending so much time off campus and miss out on a service they have already paid for.
Make a meaningful investment into all current athletic programs in order to increase school spirit, alumni participation, and publicity for the school.
Just in general I think more resources should be devoted to making NU more affordable rather than silly aesthetics projects. Do we really need expensive TVs just to display pictures of students or worse, pictures of random crap? (I'm looking at you, INV).
Can we have some kind of a realtor survey/questionnare where we know which realtors to stay away from and which we can actually appraoch? It would really help current on-campus students in a great way as there are over a hundred real estate companies trying to make money off inoccent current on-campus students.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Students HATE Blackboard. Instructors HATE Blackboard. Yet we invest a ton of money every year as part of the Software Licensing Agreement to use it. It is the biggest headache ever and the fact that a portion of our tuition is supporting this software that does absolutely nothing for my education is beyond crazy. Lets get NEU to stop using/investing in Blackboard and start using Coursekit. It is the simple way to manage ...more »
Perhaps a seminar/class for professors and instructors on how to set up their computers in class? It's frustrating for them and students to fiddle with wires and the controls to utilize the technology they have bothered to pull together for our class. Maybe just one at the beginning of each semester?
a public gmail calendar with campus events (including by departments or student groups) that the NU community can subscribe to. The current calendar through myNEU and/or OrgSync is clunky.
