Teacher Feedback

How great would it be if there were a place students could send their teachers feedback ANONYMOUSLY (kind of like this system for NUIDEA where people vote up or down; the more people that agree with the post ...you know there's something that needed to be changed). Unlike TRACE evaluations, teachers can change DURING the semester and not after we've already suffered through the class? Maybe your teacher spends a half ...more »

Teach Professors How to Use Blackboard

Blackboard is one of the most useful and infuriating portals that Northeastern employs. Some professors make the best of it by customizing and organizing their pages to make them easy to use and by keeping them up to date and full of relevant information. Others however, either don't use the system at all or they attempt to use it, but end up creating a confusing and messy page that makes finding anything require clicking ...more »

Stay Logged In button on MyNEU

It would be great to click a "Stay Signed In" button on the MyNEU log-in page so that I don't have to enter my information every time I visit the page. This isn't a huge problem, but it would make my life easier.

Remote Connection to Engineering Accounts

I would like to see the College of Engineering provide a remote desktop connection for engineering accounts. I find that the labs are inconvenient due to hours and limited seating. Because Northeastern doesn't buy licensing rights for the students, we should have the ability to access programs like SolidWorks or AutoCAD from our laptops. It would allow us to work from anywhere at any time.

• Improve Student Employment Website

For all those who have used this online service, you know as well as I do how utterly confusing and irritating it can be. Every time you click a link from the left hand side, other links appear and disappear and rearrange themselves almost at random. The user-friendliness of the site is also poor as important functions, such as the one for narrowing down the search by category, are hard to find and even harder to use. ...more »

Convert all blackboards to whiteboards

Most newer classrooms now use whiteboards but majority of the older classrooms use blackboards. Its harder to see what's written on blackboards that haven't been clean in a while.

More Tabletop Room

My laptop doesn't even fit on the tabletop in lecture halls. It would be nice if there was larger table areas. Now a days technology is a must in the classroom and a lot of times you are using more than just your technology (etc. paper, notes...)

class selection reform

Has anyone ever experienced the annoying task of spending too much time looking for course? The current system is hard to look through and not user friendly. I want the 'Schedule of Classes' program to be reformed so that looking for classes is more stream lined and tailored to the individual. improvements should include - comments on the class and teacher right next to the course description - courses tailored to ...more »

More meal swipe deals

I have had the meal plan for four semesters now, and frankly the dining hall is a little tiring. I really enjoy the west end, always a great meal and counts as a swipe, along with Rebeccas. i would like to see more vendors like pizza hut, wendys, BHOP, Dangelos have meals that count as one meal swipe. This would greatly enhance student selection, and make the meal plan a better value and more attractive.
